Sounounou is an illustration studio based in Marseille France created by Lebanese artist Marie-Joe Ayoub. Having worked as a decorative painter for more than 10 years, and seeing her work greeted everytime with wide smiles, she understood the impact of art on well-being at work and in the living space.
This is why she wanted to make her illustrations accessible to a wider range of art enthusiasts. Meaning the swallow bird in Lebanese, Sounounou is an invitation to travel and dreams through poetic illustrations
transformed into colorful wallpapers.
Sounounou’s goal is to participate in the positive transformation of private or corporate spaces, with proposed or personalized designs, using a panoramic format rather than repetitive patterns.
All the work is printed in Lebanon in order to help the country in its difficult economic situation. The paper, made of natural cotton, is made in France from renewable forests. Eco-solvent ink is used for printing to reduce our impact on the environment.
